Membership Form

Though we always like to have new members, we certainly understand the value in trying a club out before committing hard-earn money a membership.  The Southern Indiana Region let's guests (non-SCCA members) compete in any number of events.  Except in gimmick rallies were all participants are on an equal footing, we always have classes specifically for guests.  These guest classes protect guests from having to compete against experienced members of the SCCA..  When you're ready to join, we're are ready for you.

There are membership options for individuals, spouses, families, and young adults.  The regular member dues are $72.50.  A spouse can be included for another $22.50 (total of $95.00).  A household can all be members for $110.00.  For those 21 and under, a "First Gear" membership is $50.00.  It's a complete regular membership.  It's just offers a price break.
 
If you are ready to join SIR/SCCA now, complete the membership form, add payment, and send it to the address shown on the bottom of the membership form.  To more quickly become a member of SIR/SCCA, send the membership form and payment to the club's PO Box -- PO Box 1112, Evansville, IN 47706.  We'll add you to our list and forward your application along to the national office in Topeka.

The "Try Us" Option

The SCCA's Temporary Membership program offers a "trial" membership in the SCCA.  It's a 3-part form so you'll have to get in person or through the mail.  Call, e-mail, or come see us to get the form.  The Temporary Membership program has these features:
1) It's good towards a $15 discount on becoming a Regular Member.
2) Allows participation as non-Steward worker in all SCCA sanctioned events.
3) Allows the Temporary Member to compete in Solo 2 or Road Rally competitions.  (Remember, the Southern Indiana Region allows guests to compete in regional event without membership.)
4) The Temporary Membership is valid for 90 days, granting all membership privileges -- other than voting -- to the bearer.
5) Is not valid toward any competition license.
6) Does not include a subscription to the SCCA's SportsCar magazine.

Membership Development Program

The Southern Indiana Region’s membership development program is pretty simple.  The region offers to pay, one time, the SCCA dues for a guest that entered five events in a twelve month period.  When non-members participate in our annual autocross course patching effort -- our famous "patch party" -- we give them credit for one event entry.

This plan is most straight forward at autocross events.  Every guest that enters the event gets credit for entering the event.  In our rally events each car has a driver and a navigator.  Either person could be a guest or both could be.  Our policy is that when two guests are sharing a car, only one of them can get credit for the guest entry.  When a non-member is running with a member, the event does not count as a guest event.  Our basic rule of thumb is “Was the guest an additional entry fee?”  If so, we count the event as one of the guest's five events.
